Order Status Plugin Documentation

nopStation’s Check Order Status plugin allows customers to easily track the status of their placed orders by providing their phone number or email address and order ID. For added convenience, the plugin also enables store admins to send order status links via email with an expiration time, allowing customers to quickly access the order status page.

This plugin improves customer trust and satisfaction by providing a seamless and user-friendly way to stay updated with their order progress.

PRE-REQUISITES

·       The plugin requires you to install the Nop-Station Core plugin first.

INSTALLATION

·       Download the Check Order Status plugin from our store.

·       Go to Administration → Configuration → Local plugins.

·       First, search and install the Nop-Station Core plugin.

·       Upload the NopStation.CheckOrderStatus zip file using the "Upload plugin or theme" button and install it.

·       To make the plugins functional, restart the application.

CONFIGURATION

·       Go to Admin → Nop Station → Plugins → Check order status → Configuration.

·       Enable Check Order Status: Check this option to enable the Check Order Status menu.

·       Add Link in Header Links: Check this option to place the Check Order Status menu in the header section.

·       Add Link in Top Menu: Check this option to place the Check Order Status menu in the top menu section.

·       Add Link in Footer Menu: Check this option to place the Check Order Status menu in the footer section.

·       Min exp time of order status link: Define the expiration time in seconds for the order status link sent via email. The link will remain valid only for the defined duration after the mail is sent.

EMAIL CONFIGURATION

·       Go to Admin → Content Management → Message Templates.

·       Search for OrderPlaced.CustomerNotification and click the Edit button.

·       Insert the %Order.CheckOrderStatusUrl% message token into the body of the template and click the Save button to apply changes.

PUBLIC VIEW

If the plugin is successfully installed and configured these following things will be accessed by the customer:

·       Customers can navigate to the “Check Order Status” menu and enter either their Phone number or Email along with the Order ID to view their order status.

·       If the provided Phone or Email and Order ID are valid, the system will display the order information along with its current status to the customer.
