Documentation Plugin

FEATURES

  • Quick installation and setup
  • Create a category to post articles on specific topics or products.
  • Add a text/image description to each category.
  • To provide a more granular information structure, add subcategories to the Parent category.
  • Add Articles to provide product/subject documentation on certain topics
  • In the body of the article, provide text/images with formats
  • To enroll the same topic in different product categories, map an article in multiple categories.
  • Users can leave comments on articles, allowing them to share their thoughts.
  • Approve or reject comments.

PRE-REQUISITES

  • The plugin requires you to install the Nop-Staion Core plugin first.

INSTALLATION

  • Download the NopStation Documentation Plugin from our store https://nop-station.com/customer/downloadableproducts
  • Upload the NopStation.Documentation zip file using the "Upload plugin or theme" button

  • Go to Administration, reload the 'list of plugins'. Install 'Nop-Station Core' Plugin first and then install 'Nop-Station Documentation'

  • To make the plugins functional, restart the application

  • Enable the plugin with 'Edit' option and Configure it

CONFIGURE

  • Go to Dashboard » Nop Station » Plugins » Documentation » Configuration

  • Allow guest users to leave comments: Checking the box allows users to leave comments
  • Documentation comments must be approved: Checking the box ensures that the documentation comments must be approved
  • Go to Dashboard » Nop Station » Plugins » Documentation » Articles
  • In the Article menu a list of already created article will be listed.
  • You can create new article clicking on the Add New Article button if not existing any.
  • Published: Tick the checkbox to published the article
  • Title: Write down the article title here
  • Body: Write down all the content of the article here
  • Click on the Save Category button to save the article
  • A Delete Category button will be shown in the Edit article interface for deleting the article
  • Click on Save and Continue Edit to continue editing & map articles against multiple categories
  • To edit an article press the Edit button of the existing article
  • Go to Dashboard » Nop Station » Plugins » Documentation » Articles » Map Category
  • Select category from the Map Category tab to enlist any number of categories to the article
  • Mapping an article against multiple categories will ensure to show the article against these selected categories in the public site
  • Go to Dashboard » Nop Station » Plugins » Documentation » Categories
  • In the Categories menu a list of already created categories will be shown
  • Add Category: To add a new category press the Add New Category button
  • Parent Category: Select a Parent category to enlist the category as subcategory
  • Published: Tick the checkbox to published the category
  • Name: Write down the category title here
  • Description: Write down all the description of the category
  • Click on the Save Category button to save the category
  • Edit Category: To edit a category press the “Edit” button of the existing category
  • Select Category: In this section a list of already existed product
  • Go to Dashboard » Nop Station » Plugins » Documentation » Comments
  • Delete Comment: To remove a comment press the “Delete” button of the existing comment.
  • Active/Inactive: By default a comment will not be shown in the public site, admin must approve the comment pressing the “Toggle” button for the desired comment of “Active/Inactive” column

PUBLIC AREA

  • The Pubic Site can be found at SiteName.Com/Documentation

  • In the public site a list of Root Category will be shown
  • After selecting a category to expand, an hierarchy of articles & subcategory will be shown
  • Selecting an Article will show the content of article
  • Selecting a category a hierarchy of articles & subcategory will be shown again
  • Users can comment against articles here to express their opinion
