Feature Overview

• Standard /llms.txt Endpoint Provides a /llms.txt endpoint at the store root containing a curated Markdown index of products, categories, manufacturers, policies, and other AI resources.
• Dedicated Markdown Feeds Generates clean Markdown pages for individual products, categories, and brands. These feeds remove unnecessary CSS and JavaScript content so AI systems can access important store information in a structured format.
• Intelligent Catalog Inclusion Strategies Control which products are included in AI-facing feeds using strategies such as Best Sellers, Top Rated, Most Reviewed, Newest Arrivals, or manual Category and Brand selection.
• Entity Discovery Overrides Control the priority of individual products, categories, and brands by assigning High, Normal, Low, or Excluded status. This allows merchants to prioritize important products and exclude items that should not be exposed.
• Custom AI Resource Hub Add additional business information such as external documentation, B2B wholesale information, API documentation, return policies, and AI shopping protocols to the /llms.txt resource index.
• Automatic AI Discovery Signaling Automatically adds a Markdown discovery link to the storefront HTML header using <link rel="alternate" type="text/markdown" href="/llms.txt">, helping AI crawlers discover the structured feed.
• Product, Category & Store Information Feeds Product Markdown can include SKUs, summaries, specifications, descriptions, and canonical storefront URLs. Category feeds provide structured catalog navigation, while store information feeds can expose shipping, return, and payment policies.
• AI Readiness Dashboard & Health Monitoring Monitor indexed products, categories, manufacturers, and custom knowledge resources from the nopCommerce administration area. Merchants can also purge caches, regenerate catalog feeds, and run diagnostics for required AI knowledge pages.
• Caching & Background Processing SmartLLMs uses asynchronous processing and a caching architecture to generate and serve Markdown feeds efficiently. Cached feeds can be served without additional database overhead, helping minimize the impact on normal storefront operations.
• Multi-Store & Multilingual Support Configure SmartLLMs separately for each nopCommerce store. Generated feeds and settings remain store-scoped, while multilingual stores can use language-prefixed endpoints such as /en/llms.txt, /sa/llms.txt, and /de/llms.txt.
• Catalog Pagination for Large Stores Stores with large catalogs can use automated pagination such as /llms-2.txt and /llms-3.txt, together with intelligent inclusion strategies, to organize catalog information within appropriate feed sizes.
• Stock Visibility Control Merchants can exclude products or configure whether exact public stock quantities are exposed, allowing stores to communicate availability without necessarily exposing exact inventory numbers.
• Broken Link Health Scanner Automatically checks generated Markdown URLs and external documentation links to help identify broken resources and maintain reliable AI-facing content.
• Self-Hosted Architecture SmartLLMs runs inside the nopCommerce installation and uses the store's existing database and linq2db-based processing. It does not require an external cloud AI API or ongoing AI token subscription.
