AmTab Manufacturing Corporation is an American-based manufacturing company that is known for creating premium furniture products and signage décor. From 2023 onwards, AmTab Manufacturing has collaborated with nopStation to improve its digital commerce capabilities. AmTab's business model requires a vast product catalog that keeps changing, product visualization, custom design work, and enterprise-level workflow automation. With the expansion of product numbers and customer demands, AmTab was facing challenges with its current platform due to scalability issues. For growth in the future, AmTab requires an efficient digital commerce system which can handle high product volumes in terms of category management, centralized media management, customer workflow customization, and enterprise efficiency.
Several issues were encountered by AmTab during the management of its broad range of products and customized orders:
1. High-Volume Product and Category Management
AmTab has an extensive number of categories and products that need constant additions and modifications. This process involved bulk addition and updating categories and products, thus making database operations slower and increasing page load time. The firm was in need of a more efficient system that will help it manage:
2. Product Media Management Complexity
Product image and video management was becoming more and more challenging with an increasing number of products. Product image and video upload and maintenance were consuming too much time and creating discrepancies in how the products were represented. AmTab required a centralized platform that could:
3. Performance and Infrastructure Constraints
With an increasing number of platform users, the system began experiencing limitations while performing actions like cache clearing, categorizing processes, and bulk imports.
4. Manual and Time-Consuming Operational Processes
Some key operations performed within the company are manual in nature and include product information modification, categorization, mapping of media, and file movement. The lack of bulk management capabilities caused:
5. Complex Design Request Collection
It was important that AmTab had an effective way for customers to make their custom design requests. The static paper format was not adequate to meet the needs of a flexible design request submission. They needed a dynamic data intake system that would allow:
To address these challenges, nopStation implemented a series of targeted solutions that increased efficiency and reduced time-consuming manual workflows:
1. Scalable Product and Category Management
nopStation built a customized categorization and bulk management system designed for optimal handling of large volumes. The features of this development include:
This feature currently allows AmTab to process more than 20,000 categories without impacting system performance.
2. Centralized Product Media and Visual Commerce Management
An ecosystem for managing images and videos using centralization was created to facilitate image and video management throughout the platform. Capabilities include:
Global Image Attribute enables customers to select product variations based on image selection and provides improved customer experience by helping discover products. Excel-based bulk media capabilities make administration work much easier.

3. Dynamic Design Intake and Design Services Form
In order to make it easier for customers to make design requests in an effective way, nopStation created an Intake Form which fits the flow at AmTab. The features that were included:
This created an interactive and more user-friendly experience for customers while reducing operational resistance for the internal team.

The aim of the Design Services Request Form design was to simplify the process of collecting all important client data and their project needs in an organized way. The use of slider images and the choices for the "Environment Category" and "Types of Spaces" is managed dynamically and updated through the admin panel whenever necessary.

4. Enterprise Performance Optimizations
To enhance scalability and platform responsiveness, performance optimizations were made. They entailed:
The above improvements greatly increased platform reliability, decreased operational slowdowns, and allowed for stable performance under data-intensive conditions.
5. Excel-Based Operational Automation
Another important operational improvement that was made entailed allowing business personnel to manage information relating to products and media using excel-based processes. The above improvement allowed for:
This improved operational flexibility and reduced administrative workload significantly.
6. Dynamic Row Configuration
The usability and presentation aspects of the application were enhanced through row configuration. Row configuration refers to how items should be configured within each row in terms of layout, spacing, and positioning. The user interface is dynamic; therefore, making processes easy for users. The improvement results in an interactive and flexible user interface.
The adopted solutions greatly enhanced operational efficiency, performance of the platform, and customer experience in AmTab:
